Cabernet Gourmet is run by powerhouse husband and wife duo Mike and Tiffany Powers.
A clinical pharmacist by day and passionate foodie and wine connoisseur by night. Tiffany's interests include traveling to eat at Michelin star restaurants, collecting and drinking great wine, visiting awesome wineries, cooking and baking, food and wine styling and photography, watching cooking shows, and blogging. The Cabernet Gourmet simply started as a way for her to document all her meals and as a wine journal and turned into something much bigger. Living half way between Boston, MA and Providence, RI she's a local expert on all the area restaurants and a go to for recommendations. The wine list gets handed to her when it's time to order a bottle for the table. Her favorite wines are Napa Valley Cabernet, Champagne & Ice wine, but she has a good palate for any varietal. Food pairings are a special interest area of hers. She's the daughter of former MLB All-Star pitcher Billy Travers who she's often comparing food notes with. Tiffany spends her free time volunteering for local charities like animal welfare and veterans organizations.
By day Mike is the CEO of a top telecommunications company, by night an evolving food and wine lover. Tiffany introduced him to his love for good food and wine years ago and since he's traveled all over the world and dined at some of the worlds top restaurants and met some amazing chefs along the way. A lover of all things seafood he's gone as far as to catch and eat his own Piraña's in Peru. Mike is the humor behind Cabernet Gourmet instagram reels. His talents include putting together all the gadgets Tiffany buys, installing wine cellars, carry heavy boxes of wine, picking out aromas in blind tastings, and never being afraid to try new cuisine. He is the master of spices in the Powers' home and brings precise execution to their recipes. His favorite wines are Napa Cabernets, First Growth Bordeaux and Buttery Chardonnays.
